Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
We collect as little data as we can. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are under the GDPR.
Who is responsible
EK Goods, Rietstraat, Almelo (see the Legal notice). Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
When you buy
Your name, email address, country and billing address, and payment details. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number. We use this to sell you the license, send your license key and receipts, and keep the records tax law requires.
When the app checks your license
When you activate FPS Tweaks, when it checks your license (when it starts and about every 6 hours while it runs) and when it checks for updates, it sends our server:
- your license key,
- a PC ID, so that one license works on one PC: a one-way code calculated from your motherboard's ID or, if the motherboard has no usable ID, from your Windows installation's ID (or, if that can't be read, your PC's name). It can't be turned back into your hardware details,
- the app version.
When you activate a license key, the app also asks for your email address, to link the key to you.
The app sends nothing else. It does not send information about your files, your games, your settings or how you use it.
When you book a Remote Setup
The games you play and your Discord username, if you fill them in at checkout, to prepare and arrange your session. During the session we see your screen and work on your PC through AnyDesk. We install FPS Tweaks and change settings. We don't copy or keep your files.
When you visit the website
Our server doesn't keep a record of your visits. Its log only records errors and warnings and when the server starts or stops, to fix problems. Cloudflare, which carries all traffic to our server, processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and keep the site secure. It also tells our server which country you're in, so we can show prices in your currency; we don't store it. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
When you contact us
The messages you send us and your email address, to answer you.
Legal basis
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): selling and delivering your license or Remote Setup, activation, updates and support.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): keeping purchase records for tax purposes.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): delivering the website securely and with consistent fonts (loaded from Google Fonts), error logs, and preventing license abuse and fraud.
Who we share it with
- Stripe, to process payments and subscriptions (Stripe privacy policy).
- Cloudflare, which carries all traffic between you (and the app) and our website and license server, and delivers the animation library the home page loads from cdnjs.cloudflare.com (Cloudflare privacy policy).
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365), which sends our emails (Microsoft privacy statement).
- AnyDesk (AnyDesk Software GmbH), which connects us to your PC during a Remote Setup (AnyDesk privacy policy).
- Google Fonts: the website loads its fonts from Google, which receives your IP address when you visit (Google privacy policy).
Some of these companies may process data outside the EU. Where they do, they are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU's standard contractual clauses. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
- License data: as long as your license exists, plus 2 years.
- Purchase records: as long as tax law requires (7 years).
- Remote Setup details (the games you play, your Discord username): 1 year after you book. The rest of a booking is kept with our purchase records.
- Our server's log (it can contain an email address when sending an email fails): only the newest 10 to 20 MB of entries are kept. Older entries are deleted automatically.
Cookies
Our website does not set cookies. During checkout, Stripe sets cookies on its own checkout page that it needs for payments and fraud prevention.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to limit how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the Netherlands: the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. For important changes, we email customers.
